. The game sees players traversing a fictional version of San Francisco and the Bay area conducting missions through the use of licensed real-world cars. The game's main story sees players controlling John Tanner, a police detective, pursuing his nemesis Charles Jericho following a prison breakout after the events of Driver 3 (Driv3r).In the game you sit behind the wheel of Tannerβs unique car and visit the largest city in the history of the genre (209 square miles of San Francisco), and drive through a series of missions, which ultimately lead to the final confrontation with Jericho. The main innovation is the Shift system, which allows the main character switch between cars.
