The game is kinda built around the use of VATS and not being able to use it makes a lot of perks and playstyles useless or unviable. IMO, the game is definitely worth the play, VATS or no, until you can find a better controller. Edit: reread the post, not sure i fully understood the PS3/PS4 deal, but my comments on VATS still stand.

I've done a bit of research trying to find a workaround for this problem, but no matter what i do, i can't get my DS4/PS4 controller to work while playing Fallout 3. in the in-game settings, i can map out the buttons, so i know that technically it's CONNECTED, but there's no way for me to actually move (or do anything else, for that matter) or even select the controller for use.

The only way to play it on a PS4 is via PS Now (PlayStation’s Game Streaming service). PS3 game discs aren’t compatible on PS4 (or PS5). PSNow is broken too. I would buy Fallout 3 (as well as New Vegas and Oblivion) instantly if they released it with all dlc and performance fixes on PS4 but I've lost all hope for Bethesda. They haven't even fixed the 0kb glitch in Fallout 4 which completely destroys all of your save files, rendering the game unplayable.
